The Drinking Age Should be at Least 21

The argument that 16-year-olds will crispen whether it is legal or not is one that has been used to effectiveify other forbidden teen activities, such as prenuptial sex and abortion. Although it may be true that there are teens who will drink in spite of the equity, bending the law to bothow them to drink legally is not only the haywire thing to do, it is driven by the wrong motivation fear. If all the parents who feared that their teens were going to drink just stepped back and said, "You'll probably do it anyway; have at it," not only would a much larger number of teens drink, they would be getting that performance sanctioned by their parents. Even if every teenager in the country pledged to drink at 16, authorizing them to do so would be sending them the wrong message. Teens need to be qualified to tell what is right and wise for them to do; they depend on their parents for this.
