Loretta Claiborne
Loretta Claiborne was the gist of seven children in a poor, single family rest home. Born partly blind and mildly developmentally challenged, she was unable to walk or let the cat out of the bag until the age of four. Eventually, though she began to run. Before she knew it, she had ran twenty five marathons including the capital of Massachusetts marathon and was one of the first hundred women to finish. She carried the torch in the international Special Olympics, she has won dozens of medals, but what is close amazing to me is that she currently holds the record of caterpillar tread the five jet meter run in her age group in only seventeen minutes.
However Loretta was brought up poor her engender was raising seven children with a job paying her minimum wage. Loretta mom taught her how to walk with only an apple Loretta loved apples so she would do anything just to get one. Loretta mom never seen her as a mentally retarded child like the humanness did so she do her patron around the house do things as if she was a normal child. By her mother doing that she made Loretta very independent and tough.
Once Loretta mom got to the point where she could non teach Loretta how to speak she took her to a school that net help her, but right before her mother left Loretta utter Rita which was her mother name. At that point Rita felt as if Loretta can say one word she can say 2 which can mostday turn into a sentence which thus can turn into a conversation so she took her home and began to teach Loretta. She began to start school she was in the classes for mentally retarded kids but Loretta was learning. Loretta slake began to succeed in life she did not let being retarded stop her.
Although she had all these complications she still found something she can do that she loved n that was running. She began running because she had to get away from the bullies in school.
