The Man I Killed
This story is about the description of a confirmed killed in Vietnam during the contend. Here lay dead a young Vietnam soldier that was shot by an American soldier. Tim (American soldier) seems to looking kind of sad after killing this enemy. After approach path the dust, he summarized how the VC’s body looked after being shot. How his gabble had been pushed back into his throat and the front of his mouth had been blown off. The bullets had lacerated a hole in the neck clean through and through the spinal cord. He said this dead soldier wasn’t really a soldier. He was someone the Communist had drafted, granted a gun and put out there to betrothal the enemy. The dead soldier’s body was frail and probably didn’t care much about fighting. All he probably ever wanted to do was to attend college and be a scholar, but his parents before him had to fight also.
The kill was so dramatic the rest of the American soldiers couldn’t stop agaze at the defaced and bullet riddled corpus. The way Azar described how the body looked (look like shredded f*** wheat), Tim must had unloaded at least a half to full clip on the guy. Everyone had stopped and start staring at the dead body. Kiowa had to motivate Tim and the rest of the guys that this is war, nothing they could do.



Kiowa asked if no one wanted to shift place with the dead soldier, stop staring and move on. It was however hard for Tim to get this kill out of his head. He vindicatory kept picturing this guy as the kid that got rung up by the bullies. He said the VC should’ve been enrolled in Saigon University perusing calculus not politics. Kiowa searched the body, removed some items and covered it with a poncho.
This story summarizes the worst concerns a combat soldier has to look upon for rest of their life. It doesn’t matter how much training a soldier receives on how to kill, all combat veterans will explain, it’s not easy to kill.
