Native Son The novel Native Son, written by Richard Wright, is a reserve that deals with a piteous, black man named big doubting Thomas growing up in a rat-infested unity-bedroom apartment on the South Side in scratch during the Depression. It deals with the racism amid blacks and whites, the poor and the rich.
