The hills like white elephants
This stage is righteous about a couple that are about to consider a drastic determination together. The story, told nearly in its entireness through dialogue, is a conversation amidst a materialisation woman and a man waiting for a steer in Spain. As they talk, it becomes clear that the young woman is great(predicate) and that the man wants her to have an abortion.  . Though the word abortion is no where mentioned in the story, it is pretty much obvious that the story is about that issue, from interpreting the authors powerful use of those two specific literature elements which are: setting and symbolism.
The reader must interpret their dialogue and body language to infer their backgrounds and their attitudes with esteem to the situation at hand, and their attitudes toward one another. From the outset of the story, the contentious nature of the couples conversation indicates resentment and unease. According to a few on military control articles, some(a) critics have written that the dialogue is a distillation of the contrasts between stereotypical male and female relationship intentions.
From the first paragraph the setting immediately introduces the tense atmosphere that will edge the rest of the story.



The couple needs to make a decision where there are only two decisions and two directions just like the two rails that pass by the sort out station. The openness and loneliness around the railroad station regard that there is no way to back out of the hassle at hand and that the man and the girl must telephone it now.
